POST 9 >> Changes to my study programme
Hi! In this blog session, I going to write about the changes to my study programme
I study history and theory of art. My career is theoretical, most of the lessons consist of reading, speaking, and writing. It would be interesting and useful to have practical class, as for example, conservation or restoration classes, only to have at least one idea of how to treat correctly the objects. Would be interesting to also have more classes related to Chile, as Prehispanic Cultures of Chile.
The degree formally lasts four years, though most people take one year extra to do his thesis. I don't think that it is an amount of time pressure. Although possibly could be less.
The Faculty is horrible, the infrastructure is dreadful and possibly dangerous. The ramp to reach the halls of theory this bad, the lights of some rooms are not working properly, a part of the Faculty has asbestos and the library is closed... again, so there are no many spaces to study at the free hours. Also, the data and computers usually do not work, it is complex because are very useful and necessary. Even if the park is very nice
Classes are usually exhibition with moments for the dialogue, possibly serious interesting having classes on-site, some professors do when it is possible, but it is one idea hard since most of the works that we are talking about are located in other countries.
Hi! the infrastructure of our faculties is horrible and I hope that you have more classes related with Chile.
ResponderBorrari would like if theoricals and artists have more dialogue spaces, to learn from eachother and reevaluate the structure of the infraestructure... maybe other generations did it befere but who listen ?

ResponderBorrarIt would be very interesting make exchanges, we would learn a lot of theory and you would learn from the process.
ResponderBorrarI think like you, the most important thing is to improve the infrastructure
